How Can I Lose the Body Fat?
December 13, 2016I know… I too have made the mistake of spending hours at the gym to lose weight only to be rewarded with over- exercising and several injuries.
Many people will be surprised that the losing body fat does not necessarily require blood, sweat, and tears.
So what is the secret?
Low-Intensity Aerobic Exercise combined with weight lifting to can build lean muscles.
1. Low Intensity Aerobic Exercises
Research states that the best way to lose body fat is to participate in a low-intensity aerobic activity for 45 to 60 minutes, 5 to 6 times a week.
By exercising at a low intensity for a long period of time, you burn fat instead of glycogen, which are the carbohydrates stored in your muscles. I am a huge fan of low-intensity aerobic exercise to lose body fat because everyone can do it! It has a low impact on the joints, which minimizes injuries, and it works!
So… what are different types of low-intensity aerobic exercises?
- Walking
- Light jogging
- Swimming

Tip: Try walking during your lunch time or after dinner. Bring a co-worker or family member
2. Weight Lifting
Weight lifting to build lean muscle is an important part of losing body fat. By building muscle, you are increasing your metabolism.
What exactly is metabolism?
It is the amount of energy and calories we burn in a day. Muscle requires more energy to function, which means the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn.
I recommend weight lifting 2 – 3 times a week.

Tip: Make sure to strengthen your whole body and not just a few muscles. Doing only push ups and biceps curls will not give you the best results.
Exercising to lose weight does not have to consist of endless hours at the gym. All it takes is a smart workout plan, consistency, and dedication.
Go ahead and give it a try. Anyone can do it!
Is pain preventing you from reaching your physical fitness and health goals?
