Protein Powder Remix: PancakesMarch 03, 2015
I used to think protein powder was only used to just make shakes and smoothie, but I was way wrong! I have recently found new ways to mix it up in the kitchen, while creating clean eats and tasty treats.
Protein Powder Pancakes
(Yield 2 pancakes – 1 Serving Size)
- ¼ cup raw oats
- ¼ cup cottage cheese
- ½ scoop protein powder
- ½ cup egg whites
- Mix all the ingredients in a blender to create batter.
- Ladle on a hot griddle or pan and flip once.
- Serve & enjoy!
Some protein powders mix differently. If the batter comes out a little runny, try adding more protein powder to get a better consistency.
The fun is in the toppings. I personally like to mix it up with:
- Snickerdoodle almond butter & bananas (you can also add other fresh fruit!)
- For an extra special treat try a chocolate hazelnut spread with raw honey or low sugar syrup
The goal is to make it taste great while trying to maintain a healthy diet. Clean eating with protein is the best way to feel great while maintaining a high energy level.
Remember food is fuel -what you get out of your body is only as good as what you put in it!
