Sheliya Tronco
PTAMY STORY
Growing up in a family of healthcare professionals, Sheliya was inspired early on to pursue a career centered around helping others. Her passion for movement and fitness developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she experienced firsthand how staying active could positively impact not only physical health, but mental well-being as well.
During that time, Sheliya became involved in a nonprofit organization where she led virtual workout sessions for kids, encouraging them to stay active while being confined at home. This experience strengthened her interest in using movement as a tool to support both physical and mental health.
Her faith also plays an important role in how she approaches patient care, guiding her to lead with compassion, purpose, and a genuine desire to serve others. Sheliya values building strong rapport with patients and supporting them throughout their progress, helping them regain confidence, independence, and overall quality of life. This connection ultimately led her to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
