
Wen-liang (Luke) Wang

Luke has been licensed to practice in California since December 2018. He has been practicing physical therapy in Indio, California, after receiving his degree in Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Now he relocates to Irvine to live closer to his family and will serve the great Orange County area.
He was born and raised in Taiwan and was previously an electrical engineer after graduating from the Institute of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University. After working in the IT industry for 5 years, he realized electrical engineering was not his calling and decided to pursue his passion for movement science. He started studying in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota in 2009 and later received his Master of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2012. In 2013, he started research on the relationship between cognitive function and exercises in National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, while he continued applying to Doctor of Physical Therapy programs in the United States. He later was admitted to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Texas Medical Branch and eventually received his degree in Doctor of Physical Therapy in August 2018.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES
Professionally, Luke is interested in orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy and will pursue the Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. In his life outside of work, Luke enjoys playing basketball, badminton, and table tennis. He also enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading on different topics, including politics, economy, and human behavior.
