Carol Khankar
DPTMY STORY
Carol was born and raised in India and immigrated to the United States when she was a teenager. She always wanted to pursue a career in healthcare since childhood and her journey in physical therapy began back in India. Her interest in the field sparked when she witnessed her uncle, a soccer coach, achieve remarkable recovery and regain functionality without pain following a severe car accident. That was the moment she began to dive deeper into research and explore the field of physical therapy. Having a family member who is also a PT provided her with valuable guidance and advice.
Carol went back to India to earn her bachelor’s of physical therapy from Ashok and Rita Patel Institute of Physical Therapy. She then came back to the U.S. to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University, Philadelphia, and graduated in 2023. During her clinical rotation in India, Carol got a chance to practice in the in-patient COVID unit and out-patient orthopedic unit. One of her firmly believed professional goals is to assist and help individuals in achieving their functional goals and encourage movement.
