Angelina Wei
PT, DPTMY STORY
Angelina was born and raised in Taiwan and moved to the United States about two years ago. She began her academic journey majoring in biomedical engineering, driven by a deep fascination with science and the inner workings of the human body. However, as a passionate dancer, she had always been intrigued by human movement—how the body balances strength, control, and expression through motion.
During her teenage years, she developed a persistent back injury from dancing that lingered for years. It wasn’t until she underwent physical therapy that she finally found relief. That experience not only allowed her to return to the activity she loved but also opened her eyes to the profound impact physical therapists can have on people’s lives. Inspired by that transformation, she decided to shift her path and pursue a career in physical therapy.
Her recovery journey and the care she received along the way only deepened her passion for the field. She feels truly grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside her patients—supporting their progress, rebuilding their confidence, and helping them return to the life and activities they love.
