Priya Patel
PT, DPTMY STORY
Priya was born and raised in Orange County. While she spent most of her life in California, she had the unique opportunity to study on the East Coast—not once, but twice. She earned her bachelor’s degree in General Arts and Sciences with a focus on Science and Mathematics from Penn State University, and later completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. There, she gained valuable hands-on clinical experience across a wide range of healthcare settings.
Growing up, Priya was always active, participating in gymnastics, soccer, softball, track, and cross country. Her lifelong involvement in sports gave her a deep appreciation for the physical and mental demands of athletic performance. Although she was fortunate to avoid serious injuries herself, she witnessed firsthand the essential role physical therapy played in her teammates’ recoveries. Seeing their resilience and the transformative power of rehabilitation inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Today, Priya is passionate about helping people regain their strength, mobility, and confidence, whether they're athletes, recovering from surgery, or working to overcome everyday physical challenges. Her goal is to empower every patient to return to the activities they love, feeling stronger, healthier, and more capable than ever.
