Bryan Samson
PT, DPTMY STORY
Born in the Philippines and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles, Bryan's path toward physical therapy began while watching sports. Growing up, Bryan was constantly active and dreamed of playing professional basketball. His curiosity about the profession was sparked by watching Kobe Bryant; seeing how he navigated various injuries to maintain an elite level of play led Bryan to discover the vital role physical therapists play in career longevity and performance. Inspired by that impact, he committed himself to a career where he could help others return to the sports and activities they love.
Bryan pursued an accelerated academic path, entering university with an Associate’s degree and completing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills in just two years. Bryan then earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Azusa Pacific University in 2025. Currently, Bryan is focused on clinical excellence through the Coury & Buehler Residency Program. Bryan has a special interest in sports-related rehabilitation and plans to pursue a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certification to specialize in treating golfers and rotational athletes.
When not in the clinic, you can usually find Bryan practicing his golf game, competing in pickleball tournaments, or staying active on the basketball court. Beyond sports, Bryan enjoys exploring the local food scene, always on the hunt for the best new coffee, matcha, and dining spots.
