Loren Abiog
PT, DPTMY STORY
Growing up in the Bay Area, drawing inspiration from both of his parents and his many relatives who are in the medical field, Loren always knew that he wanted to take part in that altruistic coalition as far back as middle school. Looking to combine sport with medicine, Loren found physical therapy and has been in pursuit of licensed practice ever since. As a lifelong tennis player, playing at a competitive level up through community college, Loren's conviction for pursuing physical therapy was solidified after rehabilitating a shoulder injury sustained in high school. Since then, he has wanted to guide others towards better health and return to the activities they love. Following graduation from Leland High School, Loren started at De Anza College before transferring to University of San Diego where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Neuroscience. Further pursuing physical therapy, he moved to Ohio to attend University of Mount Union where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
EDUCATION & SPECIALIZATION
INTERESTS & HOBBIES
As someone who enjoys life through food, Loren loves to cook just as much as he likes to eat. If he is not scanning through Yelp or social media looking at new restaurants or cafes to try, he thoroughly enjoys taking time to prepare a delicious home-cooked meal. Growing up in a Filipino household, Loren has always loved preparing foods he grew up with. Other than Filipino food, Loren enjoys venturing into other Asian cuisine such as Korean or Japanese dishes to cook, and has only recently expanded his culinary interests into baking. Outside of food, Loren still enjoys playing tennis as it was the sport he grew up with, and generally spending time with his friends and family.
