“I was finally able to compete during the 2020-2021 competitive cheer season. I was doing full tumbling and stunting pain-free without a knee brace!”

I tore my left knee ACL when I was a competitive All-Star cheerleader with the California All-Stars in September 2019. I was doing a double full backflip with two twists, when I landed short with a straight leg, resulting in hyperextending my knee. We found Coury & Buehler through my orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michael Shepherd for my physical therapy treatment and I was excited to start therapy. It was my next step after my surgery and the beginning of my recovery.
My experience with David Hirchman PT, MPT, CAFS, MFDc, and the Irvine team with treatment for my knee was better than I could imagine. They were always welcoming, encouraging, and looking for the best interests in my recovery. I was finally able to compete during the 2020-2021 competitive cheer season. I was doing full tumbling and stunting pain-free without a knee brace. I am now committed to the California Baptist University’s stunt team where I will continue to compete at a collegiate level. I couldn’t imagine having physical therapy anywhere else and I strongly recommend CBPT for the best care.
